Who is Jehovah QADASH?

“Man has two great spiritual needs. One is for forgiveness. The other is for goodness.” – Billy Graham

JEHOVAH- Qadash (Mekaddishkem)

If you ever need representation in a court of law, a lawyer will be provided for you, unless you can provide one for yourself. Why is this? Why not just go and tell your side of the story and be done with it?

This process is put in place so that you may remain silent in your case, and in turn the judge will only listen to the men or women most versed and knowledgeable of the laws speak for you. This is the way that “the law” can and should work for you.

Having the sanctification of the Lord works in very much the same way. When we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior and go before God the Father He does not see our sin any longer… “For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” Heb 8:12, instead of our sin, He sees our deliverer our sanctifier,  Jesus! Isn’t that great news! There is no “bad day” in court when JESUS is on the case!

ONLY Jehovah Makes You HOLY

We have a tendency in the English language to over explain very simple matters. In Exodus 31:13 the readers of Hebrew simply read the Word of God to say, “yada` Yĕhovah qadash”. The same phrase in the English is lengthened to: “that [ye] may know that I [am] the Lord that doth sanctify you.” In the original dialect the phrase “yada` Yĕhovah qadash” is the same as the Lord simply saying, “understand, I sanctify… I make holy.”

It really is just as SIMPLE as that. Yada means “to understand”, Yĕhovah means “the one true God”, and qadash means “sanctified/be holy”.

Why does this matter? It matters a ton! In an age when man loses sleep at night tossing and turning and fretting over how he can “be used by God”. When he or she slaves day and night to make as much money as possible to appear a “success”, when they work their fingers to the bone to PROVE to God they is worthy, it is important to understand that THERE IS NOTHING you can do to make you holy! You can never be righteous enough, good enough, smart enough, or generous enough. You will always fall short. I suppose if it was possible for you to be “good enough” you would have to BE Jesus, but then again even Jesus said that there was no one good except the Father. Luke 18:19!

ONLY THE LORD CAN SANCTIFY!

So how do we get to be “good enough”? By keeping our eyes on Christ! By recognizing that only the Lord God can sanctify us, and it is in our walking out our right standing with the Father that we are considered a son or daughter of God! That He is our Jehovah Qadash!

HE alone sanctifies us (Exodus 31:13)

HE alone separates us  (Exodus 33:16)

HE alone makes us righteous (2 Cor 5:21)

HE alone prepares our steps (Psalm 85:13)

HE alone makes us worthy (Psalm 19:12)

HE alone purifies us (1 Cor 6:11)

HE alone perfects us (Matthew 5:48)

OUR GOD

Elohiym is for the weak,

He embodies us with POWER,

For it is only by His MIGHT that we can overcome.

Adonai is for the lost,

He is our Captain as He guides us through uncharted waters,

And leads us across the rough terrain.

Jehovah is for the unbeliever in the good of humanity,

He reveals Himself OVER ALL humanity during the storms of reality.

Jehovah-Qadash is for the miserable, the wretched and the filthy, THE SINNER

He alone cleans and purifies us all.
