When God Gives You A Vision… Make Visionade! *T4AC*

Just like a cold glass of lemonade can quench a thirst- so too can a vision that has been made manifest!

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Hab 2:3 NIV [1984]

Praise God for visions! No really! Isn’t it refreshing to know that God has given us the ability to receive from Him an image of the future, and what it will look like? As I am writing this today, I am hoping that those of you who are holding fast to a vision will be encouraged by the reality that visions are for certain seasons- but most importantly that God CHOOSES to reveal to us these visions, because of how much He LOVES us.

Visions can get pretty frustrating, if you let them. However it isn’t the vision’s fault that we lie awake at night shouting out to God, “When’s it going to be MY turn? When do I get MY vision to be made manifest?!!” No, those times of irritation can best be chalked up to physical exhaustion, having proven the old adage “all work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy” to be true.

When we decide to burn-ourselves-out in hopes of making God’s vision manifest FASTER, we end up missing the journey all together! What benefit is it to us, to gain the whole world and loose our soul? When our visions become more about us than about God, they can end up frustrating us and can easily turn into burdens. (We ALL know what God says about burdens… “My yoke is EASY my burden is light” Matt 11:30) Don’t put it past God to remove something that you might be heartily working on from you, as soon as it becomes a burden to you… God LOVES you and will find someone else to do the job, as soon as your task becomes burdensome! His yoke is EASY! This is why we who are in ministry must recognize the Lord ALWAYS in our work, and we MUST do His work in joy and with rejoicing always! If you want OUT of a ministry… let it become a burden! If you want your vision to become a JOY again… REJOICE at the work you GET to do! Hallelujah!

Scripture says that “Without vision the people perish” Proverbs 29:18. Did you know that according to His Word, God HAS to show you the vision of things to come? He loves you, and WILLS not that you perish. Here upon rereading Proverbs 29:18, you can see that the vision we get from God for the future- is intended to be a hopeful assurance about our future- from Him. If we had NO vision ever given to us, we as His children would all be STUCK perishing. His revelation of visions to us, therefore SEAL our future towards prosperity NOT perishing, flourishing NOT floundering!

But what if the vision is SO GOOD that it hurts…

We all have dreams, aspirations and desires. We all want our visions to manifest YESTERDAY. Even the WORLD groans in impatience for Christ’s coming…

“All creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering! We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)” Ro.8:19-25 [click here to read WHM article: IMPATIENT? ]

This impatience and pain in waiting, is not an emotion that is not uncommon to creation. It is a natural emotion that we all have, but the Bible also tells us that we MUST learn to adapt to our situations and begin living with joy in what we currently have

“… train the young women to be sane and sober of mind (temperate, disciplined) and to love their husbands and their children, to be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, good-natured (kindhearted), adapting and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be exposed to reproach (blasphemed or discredited).” Titus 2:4-5 AMP

Living an “adaptive” life simply means that we all must learn to live making the very best of every situation we are in. Much like Paul and Silas were found singing in prison in Acts 16:25, so we too are called to sing unto Him a new song. We are all encouraged by His mighty Word to  do our part ONLY and to do it with joy and praise. By doing this, we are able to ALLOW the vision to be made manifest in its due season. Is there anything that you can do to speed up labor and delivery of a baby… would you want to?

Our testimonies aren’t for us. Sounds strange to read doesn’t it? Really though, our testimonies are meant to GLORIFY God and encourage the Body. Revelations says that “The testimony of Jesus IS the spirit of prophecy” (Rev 19:10), our victories are NOT ABOUT US AT ALL- they are about Jesus, and the prophetic Word to another that “if He did it for ME, He can do it for YOU”!

So maybe you have had a vision from God: a new job, a new career, a baby, financial breakthrough, a marriage, a new car, a new house… an airplane! Perhaps there is this vision that you have been working toward that has unfortunately become a burden to you- BEGIN REJOICING TODAY!

Adapt to your circumstances, make that vision visionade! Hold that vision in your heart and recognize that when the vision DOES become reality (because it WILL), recognize that it was God who gave you the vision and the manifestation and that it wasn’t FOR YOU- but it was for others! In order that you could begin to speak; job health, child health, financial wealth, marital joy, etc… over the lives of others! It’s ALL about Jesus!

“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” Matt 6:33-35 MSG
