Day 17: ATTITUDE

Today’s principle focus is on attitude and the fact that God’s work is a blessing, not a burden.

Scripture of the day:

And when these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, What is the burden of the Lord [the thing to be lifted up now]? then you shall say to them, What burden [indeed]! [You are the burden!]

And I will disburden Myself of you and I will cast you off, says the Lord… But the burden of the Lord you must mention no more, for every man’s burden is his own response and word [for as they mockingly call all prophecies burdens, whether good or bad, so will it prove to be to them; God will take them at their own word]; for you pervert the words [not of a lifeless idol, but] of the living God, the Lord of hosts, our God!

Thus shall you [reverently] say to the prophet: What has the Lord answered you? Or, What has the Lord spoken?

But if you say, The burden of the Lord, therefore thus says the Lord: Because you said these words, The burden of the Lord, when I sent to you, saying, You shall not say, The burden of the Lord,

Therefore behold, I, even I, will assuredly take you up and cast you away from My presence, you and the city [Jerusalem] which I gave to you and to your fathers. And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you and a perpetual shame which will not be forgotten.Jeremiah 23:33-40 AMP

Today’s Positive Words of Affirmation and Encouraging Words to Live By:

“Today I will look at the work I do as a blessing, and not a burden. God would never ask me to do anything that would become a burden, I may have turned it into a burden, but no more. NOT today!”

?: Where do I see myself on a scale of 1-10 in the area of “Attitude”? 5 Where do you see yourself in the area of “Attitude”?

ATTITUDE DETERMINES ALTITUDE

Did you know that in an airplanes orientation in the air is called its “attitude”. If your airplanes “attitude” is positioned to the ground.. you are going to crash, if your airplanes attitude is positioned correctly you will climb and soar. The altitude of an aircraft is best determined by its attitude.

We are no different. Our direction in our lives will be best determined by our attitudes.

Jeremiah 23 speaks poignantly about how God sees us when we are “burdened”, as a matter of fact we are told to never say that God’s work is a burden, ever…!

HIS YOKE IS EASY, BUT HIS BURDEN IS LIGHT

We must be careful that God’s work does not become to us a burden. How long will God desire to be in what we are doing, if we continue to call it a burden? He says, “My yoke is easy and my burden is light?” He calls us then to responsibility, not burden. Adam and Eve were not burdened by the garden, they were burdened by sin.

When we allow what we do to become a burden, we allow it to become a weight around our necks, just like the sin that originally came on man, but Christ has redeemed us from that sin. It is now up to us to see His work as a joy, a blessing, and an honor. Today, I will maintain a great attitude and recognize that in His work we are free, because He has entrusted us to do it! Christ died to lighten our load!

My Prayer Today,
Father God, thank you so much for dying on the cross for me, and giving me the great responsibility of Ministering the Gospel. Thank you for giving me the greatest joy in doing your work, forgive me for having let Your work become a burden, I was not rested, but now I am ready to get back to work and with a great and positive attitude about it! We love You and are blessed to be Your messengers! In Your Son Jesus name AMEN!

May the Lord God Bless you and may you feel released from all burdens!

Love Always,

Jessica

Did you know???

That an army mule can “carry up to 72 kg and walk 26 km without resting”? In general, a mule can be packed with “dead weight” of up to 20% of its body weight, or approximately 90kg (200lb). The average equine in general can carry up to approximately 30% of its body weight in “live” weight, such as a rider. However, while a few mules can carry live weight up to 160kg (350lb) the superiority of the mule becomes apparent in their additional endurance. Thus the mule is known as a “beast of burden”, we as believers are called to let the Lord take the load! We are called in Christ to be free! AMEN! So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30
