Day 12: PEACE

Day 12: PEACE

Today’s principle focus is on peacefulness and the internal comfort that comes from being in agreement.

Scripture of the day:For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 1 John 5:7-8

Today’s Positive Words of Affirmation and Encouraging Words to Live By: “Today I will work diligently on seeking God and His kind of inner peace. I will work to come in line spirit, mind, and body toward a committed purpose and finalized destination. “

Where do I see myself on a scale of 1-10 in the area of “Peacefulness”? 6
Where do you see yourself on a scale of 1-10 in inner Peacefulness, and God’s kind of unity?

Have you ever taken the time to float? I mean really float? I can remember being a girl, in an inner tube floating on the lake. No responsibilities, no stresses, just the cool clean water tickling the backs of my ankles, and the warm drowsy sun lapping at my brow. If I wasn’t careful, I would fall asleep and wake up a mile down river! If it was a day when we didn’t need to do anything, we would float along several miles, and then pull to shore to sit under an oak tree and sleep some more. It was peaceful to the core.

Cars honking, people swearing, dogs barking, alarms blurting, kids fighting… all of these things grind at us daily and it is as if we sometimes completely forget what inward peace even feels like. Not the “CAN I PLEASE GET SOME PEACE AND QUIET!” Kind of peace, but the: “There is nothing wrong with me, I have everything I need, and I don’t need anything more.” Kind of peace.

Today as I am sitting in an urban area drinking my coffee in the piazza, cars driving by and people chattering, I am going to choose to put my mind at ease by simply remembering these 5 things…

1. There is NO mess too big that God can’t clean up.
2. I still have at least 60, maybe 70 more years of life left, my life isn’t even close to being half over.
3. I am healthy, and I can still pray, sing, laugh, and rejoice.
4. No matter what we are going through, tomorrow will still be a new day.
5. The past is behind me.

Recognizing the BIG picture, and understanding that no matter what, God is always with you, really does put into perspective that you have everything you need. You might not have everything you want… but you have everything you need.

Breath of life

When we work at unifying these entities (these things that you already have), and focus on operating as one member, our breath in line with our body and both in line with our spirits, we come in “agreement”. What do I mean? Well, when the body needs vegetables, but you feed it chocolate cake, you are not in agreement. When your mind needs encouragement, but you feed it a horror film, you are not in agreement. When your spirit needs faith, and you feed it fear, you are not in agreement.

God has put into us free-will and choice. The Bible says that we have been given the freedom to choose who we serve. The person who has created the optimal climate to achieve peace would eat a consistent recipe for life like this … “Vegetables and exercise (good food and care of the body), inspiration & faith.”

The person who chooses to come in agreement with the enemy, has fed themselves a steady diet of, “Junk food and bad health, horror (discouragement), and fear.”

Those who are constantly conflicted have chosen to eat from a life buffet of; “Good food (one day), bad food (the next), encouragement (one day), discouragement (the next), faith (occasionally), fear (following).” I would suppose that the absolute worst case scenario would be some ongoing cacophonic combination of “Good food, discouragement, and faith”, or “Bad food, encouragement, and fear”. Totally conflicted, and totally out of agreement.

Today I will eat good foods, and drink clean clear fluids. I will read a book of a positive and encouraging nature. I will walk, and breath deeply, and I will choose to employ faith and watch my faith work for me. Today will be a day of complete agreement, body, mind and soul. I might wake up half way down the river, by the end of the day, but I will have enjoyed every minute of the river-of-life, and nothing will discourage me or tire me out to the point of ignoring my body-life-spirit agreement.

My Prayer Today,
Thank you God for today and for showing me that you are a God of agreement. Your Spirit, water, and blood are all in agreement. Today I pray that you would make us all strong in spirit, with minds like water, and equipped with a impenetrable flesh covered by Your blood. You walk in agreement as an example to us, that we can too, it is up to us to choose to come in agreement and live in peace. I love you Father, and I choose to agree with You and live in peace today. Thank You! In Your Son Jesus’ name AMEN!

May the Lord God Bless you and put your mind at ease through His Peace that passes all understanding,

Love Always,

Did you know???

That the Nile river in Africa is the longest river in the world at 4,180 miles! That would mean that at a 5 mile per hour float speed (that’s pretty fast) it would take you over a month to “float” from end to end! (Minus the crocodiles, waterfalls, etc.. of course!)
