Did you know that according to recent statistics, those that call themselves “Christians” are 75% of North America?

“Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” Amos 3:3

“Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” Matt. 1:19-20

In the children’s movie The Bugs Life there is this awesome scene when Flick the hero stands up to the grasshopper bully and says,

“I’ve seen these ants do great things, and year after year they somehow manage to pick food for themselves and you. So, so who is the weaker species? Ants don’t serve grasshoppers! It’s you who need us! We’re a lot stronger than you say we are… and you know it… don’t you?!”

It is at this point that the ants recognize that they far out number their enemy, and as they rise together in agreement, they overtake the enemy and win the battle! What an example!

This is one of those times in history, as we come to the polls and have to vote on all types of non-Biblical issues, and have legislation being thrown us, leaving most of us afraid, worried, concerned, and in doubt of the future.

Today however, I would like to encourage you to be empowered! And to remember that you are the majority! Your vote does count, and your stand in agreement with your brothers and sisters in Christ will always matter.

I would like to encourage us all, to forget our bickering and hostility that is among our family, all the grievances we might have against one another. [And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins. Mark 11:25]

It is a prayer of mine, that we would as believers begin encouraging each other through our differences of opinion, and allow God’s perfect work to be completed in our hearts. The devil has for too long stolen our joy, and it is his chief aim to keep us from agreeing with each other. He, like the grasshopper gets his needs met through those of us in disagreement. We don’t need the world… the world needs us!

A prayer for today,

“Father God, I agree with my brothers and sisters in Christ that our community and our Nation will continue to be blessed and founded on Your scripture. I agree with them in that Word of Yours that says “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”. We are strong as a people, and will be forever encouraged to know that we are the majority and that regardless of what the media, movies, newspapers, radio try to promote, the truth is: Where sin abounds grace abounds that much more! It was never Your plan for the enemy to win… and it never will be! Bring others to me today Lord that desire to stand in the gap and be counted, and we will agree together! In Your Sons name, AMEN!”

God Bless you my friends and family!
