SOLIDIFY YOUR HOME
Houses aren’t meant to be disposable. Any good architect will tell you that in order for a house to be stable for generations, the foundation has to be solid and sure. The house must be able to remain firm throughout all weather challenges and obstacles, and it must be an immovable entity in order for it to last. You can pretty much build a house out of whatever materials you want (look at the skyscrapers with their glass walls), and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that as long as it has a sure and solid foundation, the house will stand the test of time.
I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. Luke 6:47-48
SUCCESS STARTS AT HOME
Given that we have spent the last five days going over what it takes to make the Bible work for you, and how we can all read it and apply it in our lives, I believe that it is time to begin a focus on an outward manifestation of the new inward you! The Lord is very clear that we should all imitate Christ in what we do and how we act, and it is my desire to help aid you in your daily lives walking wholeheartedly, on purpose and on point.
Rich Devos, Co-Founder of Amway Corporation, once said to the Young Business Leaders of America in his famous speech Selling America something to this effect: “Before you go out and clean up the world… how is your bedroom?” In other words, success starts at home. After all, how is success measured but through the stewardship of ourselves and our families? The Bible says, “If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Tim 5:8
YOU ARE SOLID IN YOUR FAITH
You my friends have come a long way, and are solid in your faith now. I believe that you know that the Word works, for those who work it, and that Jesus is the only way to God. You know that our identity makes us who we are. You also know that it is in our traditions that we can either be stuck fast or lifted up to freedom. I am proud of you, and I am blessed to be able to coach you through all of these various trials, tribulations, and spiritual situations. For the next few weeks we are going to maintain our Christ centered focus, but in real-life applied roles. Our foundations are solid, we pray and obey, listen and learn, and read and grow. God is good, and He will always meet us exactly where we are, and with what we need!
Go then, eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works. Eccl. 9:7
