God Never Designed Us to Be Birdsicles

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

You ALREADY Have What it Takes IN YOU

Have you ever noticed that when the Lord charges us to do something, He ALWAYS tries to use us right where we are at? For instance- when He went to Moses He didn’t tell Moses “Hey- come here for a minute, I am going to rearrange your molecular structure so that you can speak better and look more attractive when you go and talk to Pharaoh.” He didn’t say to Abraham “Come here Abraham, hold still, I am going to reverse time to make you 23 again-so you can have a baby.” NO, God uses us RIGHT WHERE ARE AT.

In Isaiah 41:10 God tells us that He will “strengthen us and help us”. In Isaiah 40:31 it says that “those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” While throughout Biblical History we are pretty familiar with the Lord changing peoples names, He consistently tells us that He will “strengthen us, enlarge us, embody us, renew us, refine us” right where we are at. To me, that means that we have had whatever it takes to get the job done… ALL ALONG.

Whatever it is in LIFE that you were meant to do- YOU WERE MADE TO HANDLE IT

What is the Job Set Before You? Do You Know You Were Made to Handle it?

When you think about it- if you have posable thumbs, eyes, ears, legs, arms… is there anything you CAN NOT do? As a matter of fact, there are quite a few people that do NOT have these abilities that are either born or have through accident become “disabled” that go on and do far greater things than most “healthy/normal” people. They defy all odds and show the world that ANYTHING can be done- and “perfection as we know it” IS NOT necessary. These amazing men and women take away the able bodied man and woman’s excuse for any lackadaisical moments of their lives spent “lolligagging” around.

Whatever it is in 2011 (I am tired of calling it 2011-let’s call it “life”), whatever it is in LIFE that you were meant to do- YOU WERE MADE TO HANDLE IT.

And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Cor 10:13

Too many Christian’s are found idly sitting around “Waiting for a change” to happen. It is almost as if they are waiting to grow a new head! Or inherit a new body! What a waste of a life-just sitting and waiting! True, we are called to “wait” upon the Lord, but this was never intended to mean “sit-on-our-duff-and-wait-for-God-to-change-us-so-He-can-use-us”! This “waiting” is an action word and it means “to serve” God. Like a waiter would serve a diner.

Our faith is not LOST in times of trial-our faith is MADE for times of trial!

Are You Using What God Gave You to “Wait” on Him… or Are You WAITING to Be Made New?

Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Cor 5:17

If I could high-light a couple of words in the 2 Cor 5:17 scripture, the words I would choose to high-light would be: IS NEW and ARE NEW. As a believer in Christ, your transformation has been completed and there in no sense left in waiting for you! As a matter of fact, our faith is not LOST in times of trial-our faith is MADE for times of trial! We who are found in faith are called to walk FULLY equipped and ready to STRIKE in any situation, just like a lioness ready to POUNCE!

So why sit in fear, or cower under the pressures of this world? We have EVERYTHING we need… G O D.  HE is IN us, HE is equipping us, HE is refining us, HE is renewing us… HE IS ALL WE NEED.

Saying that “God is all that we need ” can seem cliché to someone who has never felt or seen the power of God work in their lives. If you are one of these people and have been found sitting around waiting for a miracle, here is what I suggest:

  1. STOP waiting for God to DO something TO YOU to CHANGE YOU: you are already changed
  2. CONVINCE yourself that God CAN use you right where you are at: NO MATTER WHAT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
  3. BE BOLD in accepting the responsibility that comes with serving the Father: Know that whatever it is that the Lord is asking you to do-YOU ARE EQUIPPED to do it
  4. PUT ASIDE “perfect timing”, there is NO time in the realm of the Spirit-which means- THERE IS NO TIME LIKE THE PRESENT TO ACT.
  5. ASK: James 4:2 says “ye have not, because ye ask not.” After you recommit your life to God, and let go of the pride of your past unanswered prayers… ASK in faith and boldness that you would receive whatsoever you ask. THEN YOU MUST GO AND DO!

God never designed us to be birdsicles

Your Ability To Sit Was NOT Meant as a Permanent Solution To Your Problems!

Just because God was gracious enough to give us all back-sides, does NOT mean that we were meant to spend our lives SITTING ON THEM. Have you ever seen an animal, vegetable or even mineral that all it does is SIT? Take a plant… IT GROWS, take a pet… IT GROWS, as a matter of fact if you take ANYTHING down to the atom you will find that EVERYTHING THAT IS ALIVE IS IN A STATE OF MOVEMENT!

I can only imagine what would happen to an Ostrich if it was in REAL danger, and stuck its head into the sand. If I were the predator after the prey, I would think “Birdsicle! YUM”

God never designed us to be birdsicles. He designed us to be on the POUNCE and READY for ANY situation that would be thrown at us. Just because God may have not answered a prayer for you (like you would have wanted) in the past, DOES NOT mean that He has not equipped you with EVERYTHING that you need for your future! Tough times never last… but tough people ALWAYS do!

May God continue to bless you as you keep your heads held high-

Love Always,
