YES. I actually keep a picture of an “in your face” lime green Lambo taped by Washi tape on my wall above my computer. To those who strive for piety, this is SHOCKING for those who have a morbid fascination with the despondent of humanity… you aren’t shocked at all (you were probably hoping for a severed limb or something). I call it shocking because to a mom of six, an IN YOUR FACE LAMBO is the complete opposite of a Toyota Sienna, and frankly it inspires me.


Back in my MLM days we were promised that if we surrounded ourselves with pictures of material possessions we would one day get them. 10 years ago I had pictures of Ferrari’s, airplanes, golf courses, and mega-mansions all over the place. Unfortunately though I had been mislead, and no matter how hard I “meditated” on a Ferrari our 1986 Volvo just didn’t transform. This type of materialistic wishful thinking only made me mad, bitter, and frustrated. I can remember seriously CRYING driving through nice neighborhoods looking at open houses – and not being able to buy them. It wasn’t long before I was surrounded by clean wall squares in place of vividly colored material imagery.


When I received the message on “wholeness” and began preaching on it, wanting material things – JUST FOR THE SAKE OF HAVING THEM – became moot. After all, when you have Jesus in your heart you don’t need for anything! A WHOLE human being realizes as a new creation that even their SPIRIT is lacking nothing. Let me remind you before we go on… YOU ARE WHOLE, CHRIST HAS MADE YOU WHOLE YOU DON’T “NEED” STUFF.

So why the fancy things again… what has changed?

How does one use material items as motivation in the correct way? Through inspiration! OH how that Lambo inspires me! It is like all of the most talented engineers in the automotive industry came together and designed the perfect sports car, and I get to look at it! It inspires me to write a little better, design a little broader, and reach a little further. the simple truth: SURROUNDING YOURSELF BY THE BEST MOTIVATES YOU TO BE YOUR BEST.

I carry a LV “handbag” and I am not ashamed of it. Could the price of it feed the hungry? YES. Do I feed the hungry? YES. Currently we as a corporation give to 10+ selected benefactors, more than one of these feed the homeless. What I found with this bag is that when I “wear” it… I dress nicer, think clearer, stand taller, and read more success thinking type books. Funny how I never used to do that with my Target purses, sweaty old yoga pants seemed to be “ok”. (And my business suffered for it!)

Am I materialistic? I don’t think so… not at all. I like to think I am INSPIRED. LIFE IS HARD. When you are focused on personal growth, success and serving others you are working FULL TIME.

What is easy? Drifting. Drifting is easy. “Going with the flow” and letting life run away from you – that’s easy. “Materialistic” people are people who do what THEY HATE to do for a living, just to buy stuff. Today I DO WHAT I LOVE TO DO and since I am just an “up start” this comes with a heavy price. Lack of sleep, fast food, no time off, and lack of sleep (oh wait did I already mention that?). NO… the Lambo doesn’t motivate me to go out and get an MBA or a job as a Corporate Lawyer or Tax Attorney, it INSPIRES me to make an improvement here – a small change there. I become in turn more productive, and more successful. With this success I am inspired to GIVE more. That’s how it works.

Financial “Stewardship” What is it?


Just recently I was listening to a 10 year old ‘tape’ from a preacher in Texas. Yes, I said “tape.” What was amazing to me, was how relevant the tape was for being so old. The message was spot- on, and I was hooked.

The message was on that famous word that most of us “Christian’s” have all come to dread… STEWARDSHIP. Doesn’t the Word call us to be Stewards? “Faithful Servants”? Most of us cringe at the thought of having to serve God. Most of us don’t even know where to begin. The oddest thing, wasn’t that I was listening to a ‘tape’ or learning how to ‘serve’ again, the oddest thing was how excited this preacher was on becoming a ‘Steward for God’.

A ‘Steward for God’ ?

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21

How in the world are we supposed to not store anything up? How are we to live by faith and not by sight when the rent is due, and the car needs gas, and the kids need milk in the morning? Doesn’t God know that it takes CASH to do anything in this world??

YES! Yes, He does. The only thing is… it doesn’t take your cash. It takes His.

What? God’s cash? Yes, God’s cash. The Word says, ”

The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts.” Hag. 2:8


So how do you go about not “laying” anything up? Don’t have anything to begin with!

I don’t have a checking account, I don’t have a house, I don’t have a car. Now don’t get me wrong, there are multiple checking accounts in my name, multiple cars, and perhaps someday multiple houses… but NONE of them are mine, and ALL of them belong to God the Father. I am merely a Steward to Him, and have received an inheritance from the Lord most High.

I go to bed penniless every night, and I wake up penniless every morning. My portfolio is the Lords, and the Lords alone. He built it, He created it. “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it” Psalm 127:1 He is free to make withdraws whenever is necessary, and I am free to not be persecuted by the constraints that money and added maintenance can bring. It is all His, and He is awesome. I am merely His Steward.

1 a person who looks after the passengers on a ship, aircraft, or train and brings them meals.
• a person responsible for supplies of food to a college, club, or other institution.
2 a person employed to manage another’s property, esp. a large house or estate.
• a person whose responsibility it is to take care of something : farmers pride themselves on being stewards of the countryside.

I used to ask people, “What would you do if you won a million dollars?” Most people would say, “Invest, get out of debt, buy a house, retire.” Only a select few would say, “Nothing.” The interesting thing is that “Pray, and do whatever the Lord wants me to do” only comes out of the hearts of those that understand that it doesn’t and didn’t belong to them in the first place.

I can see living on the beach someday, and watching my children play in the sand and surf with their father. I can see writing manuscript after manuscript on God and His blessings, but most importantly I can see having all of this in absolute freedom. These are rewards for taking care of and seeing about the ‘Masters’ business, not my own.

In America we have a hard time understanding ‘Stewardship’, because we don’t understand how Kingdom principles work. In a Kingdom, there is one ruler, and all under His authority we are provided for and taken care of. In turn, He as a good and kind ruler, takes care to see that His people are feed, housed, clothed, and prepared to do what is necessary to keep the Kingdom operating efficiently.

The Body of Christ is NO different. We have One Ruler, One King. We are taken care of completely. You MUST recognize that in order to lay a hold of the principles of the Word of God, you must know that He is a jealous God (Deut. 5:9) and will not be able to give all into your hands as long as you will continue to take claim to something that does not belong to you. We must not covet what rightfully belongs to the King. There is no place in a Kingdom for someone who wants to overthrow the King. Especially, if that King is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! (Rev 19:16)

How much freedom is in ‘Stewardship’? Imagine having everything you could possibly need or want and your only responsibility is to do what the Master asks of you! How amazing is that! You mean I can have everything and the only thing I have to do is what God instructs me to do???


But what if God asks me to do something, I don’t want to do, or can’t do?

• “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt. 11:30
• “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
• “since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Col 3:24
• ” In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” Eph 1:11

You don’t need ANY money to operate in this world, what you need is an inheritance. Money, cars, houses, clothes, food, relationships, recognize that the only way to receive it is if you receive an inheritance from the One who created it all!

God the Father wants to give it all to you to benefit from, and make sure that His Kingdom continues to operate efficiently. He is a God of Order and wants to give you your inheritance as if you were heir to the throne. Hey wait… YOU ARE!

“It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless, because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression. Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.” Romans 4:13-16

A prayer for today,
Father God thank you for Your Son Jesus who died on the cross, that we could be entered into this Sonship, that we could partake in this inheritance. Thank you for Your Son and His obedience and death to the cross and His blood that was shed on Calvary, that we can become stewards for You of everything that You would have for us. Apart from You, we are nothing, and yet with You we are EVERYTHING! The sacrifice that You made makes us whole, and today we say “Thank you, for taking away all of our cares and worries and for showing me today that as long as I see that everything that is entrusted to me is Yours… I know now that I can still be provided for, while not laying up! My treasure is in HEAVEN! Everything here, belongs to YOU! In Your Sons name, AMEN!

God bless you today, as you are free to succeed, understanding none of it is ours anyway!

It’s Been Too Long!

It has been three months since I blogged last, and I am feeling like a heel! As a matter of fact I had to dump 6,000+ emails from the “” email today! What a whirlwind! It’s not that live has ended – it has actually only begun!

With the birth of our sixth child to be candid with you, I fought depression with work. Creating, building, anxiously checking Facebook for all things profitable… but in this frantic need to overwhelm postpartum childbirth with activity alot of positive things have happened! I finished my book, started a new company, lost 40 pounds, began ghost writing for a felow blogger, and have been on the whole “knee deep” in activities. (You can check out my new company at some of the most creative work I have ever done and GROWING)

I knew I was fighting “depression” because it was all out WAR on my flesh to not be saddened at the completion of our six child dream. We had always wanted six, prayed for six, and after 16 years the vision manifested. Now what?!


So what’s next then? This blog has been running for over six years! I have had countless ministry oppurtunities and have been blessed to give others HOPE in Jesus. That JESUS is ENOUGH. I would like to keep blogging here on subjects that are of a more spiritual nature. My new blog is specifically designed to focus on family, food, and my day to day life as a writer and designer. This blog, this one is where I freely get to talk about JESUS and I love it – I couldn’t possibly get rid of it!

I want you to know that I love the readers of this blog very much, I haven’t forgotten about you and while I am still venturing out and doing other things to add to “The Whole Heart Art Creative Company founded by Wholehearted Ministries” … You are on my heart and my mind forever!

You Are a Winner!



There is an old adage that says that “Slow and steady wins the race”. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t found that always to be true! After all in about every sporting event known to man, the fastest & strongest person always wins and in doing so they are celebrated for their strength!

Did you know that as a believer in Christ YOU too have that same strength that causes winners to “WIN”? You have a strength of Spirit that no one can deny!

Read 1 John 5:1-5 (MSG):

Every person who believes that Jesus is, in fact, the Messiah, is God-begotten. If we love the One who conceives the child, we’ll surely love the child who was conceived. The reality test on whether or not we love God’s children is this: Do we love God? Do we keep his commands? The proof that we love God comes when we keep his commandments and they are not at all troublesome. Every God-begotten person conquers the world’s ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.

I just love this sentence: “The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.” Your faith! Your faith in Jesus Christ, your belief in Him makes you a winner!

The Bible says that “by faith” you have already won, and it also says that “through Christ” we have overcome the world! Isn’t that great news?!


Romans 8:37 (MSG) says:

“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture”

There is no loosing for those who renew their minds to the Word of God! If you feel like a failure, look for scriptures on success. If your body is sick, look for scriptures on healing! If you’re tired, look for those scriptures that contain strength. You WILL find them! Everything you need has already been given to you… and YES! you have already won!

Poisoning Children, Public Bombings and Tainted Meatballs


While I strive to be encouraging and uplifting in my aticles and messages, sometimes when I am awakened in the morning with a word to share I must share it regardless of its “theme”.

This week in a remote village in India 23 children died from eating school lunches that had been fixed with tainted oil. 23 families have lost loved ones, and more than that at least 50 children were exposed to the poisoned food. The police had to go and search for the Principal of the school, because she had fled.

Also this week, the last remaining survivor of the Boston Marathon bombings was sent home after 100 days of being in critical to stable condition in the hospital. At the same time, about a month ago in San Francisco someone who was upset with dogs had planted thousands of tainted and poisoned raw meat meatballs all over the city in places where dogs normal urinate in attempt to drastically reduce and kill the pooch population.

What is this world coming to? What can we learn from such vial and evil acts? Not a day goes by that we don’t hear news of a child abduction, a mass murder, or some sort of chemical warfare threatening our food system… something has to change.


Religion is nothing more than a set of regimented rules that when one repeats them over and over again, a said result is promised to occur. For example, some people “religiously” go to coffee every morning at 8 am on their way to work. Their coffee going habit becomes a religious experience. They take the drink, blow on it in a certain way, take 25 steps out the door to the car… etc. This is religion at its basic form.

Jesus said, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? Go figure out what this Scripture means: ‘I’m after mercy, not religion.’ I’m here to invite outsiders, not coddle insiders.” Matthew 9:13 MSG

Religion is a false promise of “peace, love, joy, etc” based on a standard of rituals. For some, even brushing their teeth can become a religious practice ‘guaranteeing’ them the prevention of tooth decay. But what happens when sixty years down the road their teeth fall out anyway? Plainly put, religion won’t keep a school principal from feeding children poisoned foods, it won’t keep someone from preforming a mass murder, and it definitely won’t keep people safe. As a matter of fact: RELIGION KILLS. (Religiously committing oneself to a habitual task without first consulting an authority figure on wellness has been proven to lead to premature death)


There are on the average, 863 pages in the Bible and approximately 783,137 words in it. I am not going to blast you with scripture or inform you of your potential sins. But I will choose to highlight 11 words found in the Bible that if the world would read and abide by them, this world would be a safer more secure place.

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

What a simple statement and yet it is found buried in the “ancient” work of the Bible, as spoken by Christ. What a revolutionary and poignant prose when you take the time to consider it. Is reading the Bible beneficial? 2 Timothy says, “All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness”. Reading the Bible and learning straight from the source away from “religious” institutes will profit a man’s soul. The scriptures found within it’s pages comfort, convict, establish, and equate man. “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Gal 3:28


Up until 1963 the Bible and it’s primary motto, “Do to others as you would have them do to you” was taught in the American school system as a credo, a “manifesto of morality” if you will. However upon the rulings of the court this teaching along with the Bible as a whole became an “infringement of rights” and a mass exodus of the scripture was applied to our Public School System and was replaced with a “code of ethics” over a foundational standard. This article is not about wether or not this ruling was correct. This article is an attempt at illustrating that even or very BEST attempts at coming up with our own “code of ethics” does not even begin to touch the simple truth that the scripture all ready implies and provides. Removing the Bible entirely from society would actually leave us with no “code of ethics” at all due to the fact that every single principle that we as society attribute to goodness and well doing can be found within in the Bible itself!

  • “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”*
  • “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
  • “Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them.”
  • “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.”
Taking the Bible out of the schools and out of the home leaves a society grasping and reaching for boundaries, what then should take its place? It is in my opinion that the basic truths in the Bible that have shaped us thus far be reinstated and that households across the globe can impact this planet toward good instead of evil purely from being lost in a manuscript that most people file away.




No one will laugh at you, no one will think that you are uneducated or primitive. As a matter of fact when you begin to read and reread the scripture, you will probably begin to be asked questions about your new found peace of mind. If reading the Bible for some reason doesn’t bring you peace of mind, you are probably reading a version you don’t understand. Instead try reading a new version here: and select the “Message Version” it will be an easier translation.




Jesus says in His Word, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Men and women who attempt to do things out of religion and for the sole purpose of financial gain will receive their just reward. The scales will balance. Regardless of your faith, religion, or lack there of – there is always a equal or greater reaction to every action done by man. It is the nature of physics. As a Bible reader I am comforted to know that Christ has overcome the world and that in every forest fire a new seed is planted and when given enough water and sun that seed will grow and bloom into a prosperous plant. The power isn’t found in the plant: the power lies within the seed!
