Can 2011… Be a Party Year? YES!

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Have We Become Addicts to Habits?

Isn’t it funny how hard we worked as kids to get that FIRST dollar, only to want more and more? If we had a lemonade stand; we advertised, told friends, negotiated with our parents- all in attempt to DO SOMETHING BIG… earn our first $1! Quickly after however, we soon forgot about that first $1 (that came from hard work and the enterprising of a youthful mind) and began craving the ambition to “See how much can we get?” and “Is that ALL!?”

Thinking in terms of “firsts” and “one and onlys”,  I have come to the conclusion that it is MORE important to celebrate the breaking through of the ONE than the sum of all its completed parts. Just like Jesus was THE ONE AND ONLY, there is a unique power when the first of anything is created! It is in THESE moments that we should celebrate… who needs “Anniversaries”? (Except for Marriages of course!)

Can we make 2011 into a daily party?!

What if instead of celebrating our “successes” at monumental levels of success (i.e.:We just reached our goal, Woohoo), what if we began to celebrate the daily achievements of a new thing tired? A CELEBRATION for everything that you do for the first time this year?? I wonder… Can we make 2011 into a daily party?!

“When was that last time you did something for the first time?” – John C. Maxwell

First Fruit Moments in Life

The best of all the firstfruits and of all your special gifts will belong to the priests. You are to give them the first portion of your ground meal so that a blessing may rest on your household. Ez 44:30

There is a blessing associated with the first of something new. Celebrating and giving to God of each of our accomplishments leads us to a household full of the blessing! How many times have we as individuals gotten stuck into a routine of “sameness”? Never stretching, never creating, never attempting anything new. Leadership expert and Pastor John C. Maxwell states, “When was that last time you did something for the first time?”

We ALL desire to be blessed. We all will be blessed… when we decide that life is TOO short to not live for first fruit moments in time. Let us begin to choose to live for FIRSTS and NOT finish lines!  “First fruit moments” are those times when we receive increase.. an unexpected blessing, a new gift… a FIRST dollar.

May God Bless you today friends, with unlimited ideas and inventive new approaches to old and tireless problems!

Love Always-
